Checkbox List#13

Introduce a new list type in the text editor that shows a checkbox next to each item.

This is the feature that I’m anxiously awaiting. I want to stay on Scrintal without having to go out of the app to keep track of my activities. 🙏

Even though checkboxes are one of the most requested features are there also plans to allow users to convert pre-existing dashes or bullet points to checkboxes? This would save us time having to delete them all if we used them as checkbox placeholders then add checkboxes one at a time. Or what if we had the ability to select a group of text with dashes or bullet points and bulk edit them to convert them all to checkboxes? What if you take it one step further and introduced the ability to select a paragraph of text and then covert it to a todo list so each sentence in that paragraph becomes an individual line with a checkbox?

I think it would be great if there was an option for these checkbox lists to be ‘pinned’ (and of course unpinned as well), i.e. it’s always there when I move across boards etc.

Can you already say when this function will be introduced?

Maybe it would make sense to change the text that relates to the box after checking it off, the text color from black to gray, so that you can immediately see in a list which ones have already been done.

Especially Heptabase
When will this feature be implemented? There are many other PKM systems that already have this feature, especially Heptabase.

Thanks for the input everyone! This is now implemented in version v.0.20.528. To add a task to your Card, use the slash command or plus button to insert a Task List. Alternatively, type [ ] on a new line and press space, or use the shortcut CMD/CTRL-SHIFT-9
