Merged Export all data for backup#115

For exporting the whole board by pdf, (i) the sequence of cards to be shown in the consolidated pdf, for example by card creation time or by relevance of those cards being linked, and (ii) the whole view of the chart showing the arrows, must be considered for this critical coming feature. Thank you for the warm team!!

Will export support only flattened PDF files or PDF with vector paths?

This is my most anticipated improvement. The ability to export all the content from a “board” to Markdown enables long-form writing. Thanks.

Not sure if a different feature, but it would be nice to be able to export multiple cards by selecting them at the “My Cards” view (or perhaps in the Search view as well?).

Hi guys. I am arriving at a stage in my journey where I am getting too anxious for not having a copy of my notes. I have thousands so far. I wouldn’t even care if the download is Markdown, a JSON, or just a dump of your database 😆

Having a copy of my own ideas “in case something goes wrong” is fundamental to any knowledge management. I wouldn’t want to have to create those thousands of notes from scratch.

Any update on any type of export?

I too am at a similar point and would be relieved and sleep better if an export (whatever format now, later into editable formats) would be available.

I also agree that a function to secure locally the entire database and/or subset in an easily usable/transportable format should be prioritised soon.

Personally I don’t have a lot of cards yet but can see that for others that do this is now essential

Rationale: scrintal has come along in leaps and bounds over last few months (hats off to the team .. fantastic high quality work!) and really is a place where useful work can be done. If users are to be encouraged to press on and use /stretch scrintal in complete confidence of always having access to their hard work then such an export function to secure data in an externally usable way should I believe now be a high priority.

In effect scrintal is a victim of its own success .. and that is a really good thing :)

I am also awaiting this feature befoere fully committing to the platform. Scrintal is the most useful, best designed, easy to use, approach to notes and ideas but I’m hesitant until there is a bulk export.

I am also looking for this feature. Ultimately, all information need to be converted into some text format such that it can be used and manipulated in any software tool.
