Currently, Scrintal can only search within the title of the cards and filter them by tags. We are going to introduce full-text search capabilities to allow our users to search within the content of the cards.
… hoping this is also including tags as (optional?) part of search?! :-)
A must. Asking for higher priorization.
Yes … a high priority for me also!
IMHO searching attached PDFs too would be very nice/important. At the moment only a few apps like Apple Notes do this (in a very intelligent way not showing all matches but only the fact “found in this file”)
A must for me. Please put higher up the development log.
This would be a great enhancememt.
A) When creating text i would like to be able to invoke a key command that would search for any card that contained the command associated text (similar to current +….. for card searches) and temporarly show matches in a way that I can choose from) and upon selection create the necessary card link. Ideally it would be able to in some way link to the text block within the located card (or highlight in some way) so that following the link to target-card I am quickly able to find the ‘link text’ and its context in-card.
Depending on stream of thought it may be useful to be able to scope 1) all cards 2)just those on board
B) Finally in addition to simple search function it would be very helpful to provide some level of fuzzy search capability to help when user cannot quite remember precise text that is being sought after .. ie partial searches, boolean word combinations.
( I know there are PKM apps that are starting to use AI to assist in these type of seek scenarios - personally I am NOT an advocate of this. Creating PK networks is a thoughtful and creative process .. handoff to an AI is lowering trust level especially if volume of text/cards becomes high… please let the pilot stay in control ;-) )
A search in the content / text of the note is essential for me and of high priority!
A text based search is essential for a note taking! This is a really important
We’ve now released Full Text Search 🎉
