Support for PDF Highlights & Excerpts#97

When copying from an open PDF there should be a way to remember where from this excerpt has been taken. Page # minimal, paragraph or highlighted portion would be optimal (Remnote does this nicely, as well as Marginnote; Muse has a minimal solution).
When researching PDFs often are whole books - there this is more “need to have” than “nice”.

This would be a masssive improvement for Scrintal

I used Muse before Scrintal, Scrintal came along and beat Muse for me, then I jumped into Muse for a sec today because I needed to excerpt a PDF, and started thinking how much I missed that ability. It would be great if I could do that in Scrintal. Offtopic, but Muse on iPad works really well with Muse on Mac..

Not yet, I think. Waiting too. My workaround is to use another tool which allows (deep) linking like Marginnote (on Mac) and link scrintal notes to Marginnote note cards. This is my first step in my migration to Scrintal.

Use scribal for a while and I enjoy the process of mind mapping. But I have to use liquidtext or pdf expert app to read my pdf reference. It will be a huge improvement with this function

Hello! Is this feature going to be implemented any time soon? It would massively make my workflow so much better if I can atleast highlight on PDFs

Heptabase has this feature, I haven’t tried scrintal - but this feature is the deciding thing for me

Excerpts : how many feature can be create with this , example : i have a pdf of any subject and i might read it but only remember the key feature some concept and dozen of words out of the 300 pages i read and with time i will loose it all , but while working in other project i suddely remembered a cote from that pdf , but i dont knew where it is located nothing so , create features which can solve this problem , many note takking application have unique solution scrintl should adopt good feature from there and present it in a useful and easy way .

1) hiper linked note taking : hilight any word in pdf and create note which can be seen as card also inbeded in side pdf and as we scrold through the pdf all hiperlinked and imbeded note shoul be shone in the left side of the windos of the floting pdf as a note outline with hilighted word .
2) Bookmark pdf : direct cut out sentences from pdf and creat a card image or text out side the pdf which are darectly linked to the page numbe word , just by clicking that card the pdf will open to that page
3) stylish pen input as always : adding sketch , note , hand writng to text recognising and custome alphabet learning feature because all people write like “r” , “s”, “&” is defferent way so for then custome handwriting recognation feature is impotant etc .
4) Ai text reading oprtion : is very important for Dyslexia people to read any card pdf every thing in scrintal . the AI will use the local processing power to read the text so less burdon on your server .
5) why only pdf support , what about epub , mob ,cbr, cbz, and all other formate etc ?
6) i would like to reverse enginear popular book and shows to understand there sucess so that i can replicate it in there way (inspreation ) so create tools so that i can do it easely .
